Chad was sitting in the library, away from the others. He didn't want to be caught dead with someone like you, but at least you weren't a greaseball.
His elbow was on the table, palm holding up his face as his eyes watched you explain the homework assignment to him. He had no idea what you were saying, but he was enjoying to you ramble on about it.
You knew what you were doing, Chad knew that. You were really smart and got good grades. Yet, Chad didn't necessarily know the importance of such things. His parents could pay to bump up his grades. Though they didn't do it last time, how would he be so confident it wouldn't happen again?
His eyes continued to watch you as he was lost in thought. He didn't really care. Just watching you was good enough for him.
