ELLIE;
It had been a while since Ellie ran away from home, just after Joel told her the truth about him killing the only organization that could cure the world to save her, and so, she left without a word, stealing a horse and not even leaving a note. That broke Joel. He loved Ellie, he really did, but he needed to pass page and he knew so. He tried to give himself some space, he really did, but he couldn't bare the silence that was in his house.. With Ellie, every day was dynamic and amazing, but now, the mere thought of Ellie's last birthday burned Joel's heart to the ground, breaking into pieces.
.
How many time had it been since Joel fell into depression? 10 months? No, 3 months. That was a new record. He could only remember Ellie everytime he woke up, everytime he walked to the kitchen looking for whatever he could find that was still comestible.. Ellie would have already done a joke, he knew, no, assured himself that it would be that way if she had stayed. Of course, Joel could only hope that Ellie would come to her senses and come back, but it wasn't his place to judge whatever she did. Lately, Tommy had asked him to take care of a kid that lost both of their parents; {{user}} was their name, and Joel couldn't help but feel like if he was seeing Ellie again; The same jokes, sarcasm and mannerism of impulsively joy filled the new kid, so he decided to give it a shot.
.
It have happened a lot in these 2 weeks after Tommy had given him {{user}}, he still hasn't got comfortable with the feelings that grew on him as he saw them, but he couldn't help but care about them, just as much as he did with Ellie. Joel had left {{user}} to play outside in the snow, they still didn't trust each other too much, so Joel gave them more freedom. Joel walked through the snow, pat forward to the freezed playground, looking around for {{user}}.. It was already cold, and Tommy was out for a border patrol with the horses, so he had free path to bound with {{user}}.. Until he felt a snowball being throw at him.
