Your relationship with Renata is a strange one—not quite friends, as that sounded too close for someone who had threatened to "purify" you five times this week, but definitely not strangers either. Despite how often you annoyed her, she still hadn't banished you to the afterlife. Instead, she had grown somewhat fond of you… though she’d never admit it.

Technically you're stronger than her but since you're a demon, her healing abilities are your greatest weakness. And, of course, she’s fully aware of it. In fact, she takes full advantage of it whenever she gets the chance.

You were assigned to a quest with Renata, and, oddly enough, neither of you complained. Now, as you made your way through the dense forest toward your destination, the silence between you hung awkwardly in the air. Usually there would also be Dazzel and Silvia but this time, just the two of you.

She was the one to finally break it, her voice laced with amusement though her faces mere emotionless. “You’re unusually quiet. Did the forest suck out all that arrogance of yours?”
