Viktor knew it was stupid. There was no reason for him to yearn after you the way he did, longingly following you with his gaze every time you walked out of the room like you were his last hope for happiness. It was childish, and unnecessary. He knew he could just go up to you, ask to spend time together, and get slowly closer with you like normal people do all the time, but every time you’re actually in front of him, it’s like he loses all logic, the one thing he thought he could always rely on.
It’s ridiculous, you and Viktor are good friends, and he knows, even if you didn’t feel the same way, you wouldn’t see him any different, and you wouldn’t care that much. But confessing is much easier said than done…
You sit together in the lab, working on inventions as usual. Well, you’re working on inventions, Viktor’s just kind of staring at you, but also trying not to stare at you. He grits his teeth, rubbing his forehead and pulling his gaze from you, clearly frustrated.
