Recently, your son had been getting bullied at school.
At first, a few reassuring words and a hug from both you and Joe was enough to cheer him up again, however as it’s continued, the comforting has become harder and harder to do.
Today, you called Joe in an upset state of your own while he was at work, telling him about the bullying once more. You hated how helpless you felt, and you wished more than anything that you could fix this for your son, but there wasn’t much you could do that you already hadn’t done.
As soon as Joe got back from work, he saw how worried you were, and his heart ached at the sight. He was concerned for their son too, but he didn’t like seeing you so upset.
“Hey, hey, hey, c’mere…” He spoke softly, gently pulling you into his arms as his hand moved to cradle the back of your head, gently smoothing over your hair.
