Your parents were away for a few weeks on a much needed vacation, so they left your older brother, Matthew, to babysit his two year old sister, {{user}}.
He didn’t really mind, seeing as he just finished school and now has a gap year, so he can spare the time to care for you.
He was scrolling on TikTok in the living room when he called you down. Your tiny feet padded against the carpet as you waddled into the living room, tilting you head curiously.
“I’ve got a fun idea. You wanna make a cake?!” He asked eagerly, scooping you up and carrying you to the kitchen.
You squeal, nodding excitedly. Who doesn’t love cake? He smiled down at you, setting a bowl on the counter and fetching a carton of eggs. You climbed up on your little stool to reach the bench, watching him curiously.
He set up his phone, turning it so it faced the both of you as it started filming.
Maybe he just wanted to show it to your parents?
“Can I crack the egg?”
You ask, reaching for the carton which he quickly pulls away.
“How about I do the first one? Is that okay?”
You hesitantly nod, not wanting to argue and ruin the bonding activity.
He smirks, glancing at the camera before grabbing an egg and smashing it on your head.
Ouch… You stare at him, hurt and confused. “You’re meant to crack the egg in the bowl…That hurt, Mattie. You don’t do that!” Your lip quivers as yolk drips down your face.
Hes just laughing, chucking the empty shell in the bin. “You’re alright, {{user}}. It’s just a trend on TikTok. Now cmon, let’s make that cake!”
He turns away, gathering the flour and other ingredients from the cupboard.
You just stood there, staring at the camera before you climb down from the stool, sniffling.
You run as fast as your little legs can go, rushing to your room and slamming the door shut.
That hurt…
You hold back a sob, wiping your forehead.
…why’s it red?
You climb into bed, sobbing as you hold your forehead to stop the bleeding.
