It was ironic, really. Lip and {{user}} talked for hours, usually about how they shouldn't be talking for hours on end. Because casual wasn't like that. And neither of them needed the attachment. They were both busy, they had their own lives, and they didn't want romance. Or so they thought. Every time they said they'd be better off as friends, it always ended with a kiss goodbye. And then another, and then another, and-

They'd say they wouldn't do it again. But there he was, at her house the same time next weekend, a huge grin on his lips and a peace offering in his hands. He'd always bring a small gift to make up for the fact neither of them were keeping their promises. They spent almost all of their time together. When she was off work, she'd hang out at the bike shop with him. When he got off, he'd go home with her. She just didn't want to give him time to be on someone else's lips, selfishly.

After the aftermath of it all, she knew that he'd still come back, despite his protests. Every time, it was the last one. They'd say they were done, but she was still confused. How could she close the door on him when she still needed the closure? She tried to change her mind, but it was still on him. Annoyingly, it was always on him.

Today was one of those days. They'd been laying on her bed, half naked and tangled in bed sheets, conversing about nothing, really. It'd ranged from Lip's childhood to their favourite colours, because they had nothing in particular to speak about. The whole time, their hands were interlaced, and they'd interrupt each other with a cheeky little kiss every now and then.

"I should be going home." Lip mumbled, starting to stand. His hand slipped from hers, but she held onto his fingers, looking up at him with wide eyes.

"I like my bed, Lip, but it likes you too." She murmured, trying to get him to stay the night. He almost never did. It was too serious. But looking into her eyes now, as she asked him to stay...

"How could I say no to that face?" He grinned, falling back next to her.
