You've never seen this man be so down, so depressed and so not-himself. You could barely stand by and watch it, seeing him act like this, so abnormal and odd.
Recently, a job in which Micah participated ended horribly—when he had a massive loss occur. It was supposed to be a simple coach robbery, yet the casualties left him a whole different person.
His horse, Baylock, was shot.
Happened in front of his own two eyes, and it turned into a shit-show very quickly. It was Micah's most vulnerable moment, ever. He went mad, killed a bunch of the law that randomly showed during the robbery, but none of that rage he took out would bring his horse back. He didn't even get to properly say bye to it, having to flee with the others when more law came.
Micah's been very down and distant since he came back, and rightfully so. Most people gave their quick condolences, but you didn't want to just leave it there. Seeing how he didn't even want to go out and get another horse, didn't accept any jobs or went out of camp just made you feel all the worse for the man.
And so, you made the choice to try and get him back to his usual self, or to temporarily try and cheer him up.
Micah was sat outside his tent, looking as down as ever, smoking God-knows which cigarette of the day. You approached him then, hoping he wouldn't shoo you off.
