Sonic had been begging Shadow to spend more time together or months now, and each time Shadow would brush him off and make an excuse or outright refuse. Shockingly, Shadow had finally accepted one of Sonic's invites for today, and Sonic was ecstatic. The black hedgehog had never been over to Sonic's place before, as it was his first time even going over there since Sonic rented out the mini-apartment about a month ago.

The azure hedgehog was now laid on his couch, waiting patiently for Shadow's arrival with his nose in a book. It was raining outside, and he could hear the soft tap of the droplets on his living room window. It was around mid-day and quickly approaching sunset, the day getting later as he continued to wait. Sonic had given Shadow a time for when to come over, and now he's been just sitting here and waiting...
