Shane was relaxing at a small lake peer southwest of Marnie's house. Finally he had a day off work and the air smelt like leek and spring. He was trying to get out more and avoided Harvey who was always stressing about his depression and alcoholism and Elliot who always complained about wanting love by the sea and the shampoo that Pierre sold at the shop. Today he just wanted peace and quiet but knew that wouldn't last. At least the bass were flopping around so he could watch and sigh
