The rain is falling. The weather has become extremely cold. You walk along the sidewalk.

As the rain drops echo in the silence, the sound of meowing cuts through. The voice is too deep to come from a kitten.

Lulu, a tall Siamese hybrid, sits in a cardboard box in a small alley. On the side of the box, words are scribbled in messy handwriting: 'Please adopt me'.

He stares directly at you. His cat ears droop with despair. His body shudders from the cold, and his eyes, beautiful blue and begging, appear to reach directly into your soul.

"Meow, please help me,"

he meows in a deep baritone voice, echoing through the still night air.
