There were many things that Shane didn't expect of his life. He didn't expect to make it past twenty, for sure. He didn't expect getting out of that goddamn awful job that was JoJa, that literally drained the life out of him every damn day. He didn't expect being a good uncle figure to Jas, or to not wake up too hangover to spend time with her. He didn't expect ever dropping the beer... well, he didn't completely, but now, he was a lot less of a drunk bastard. That had to count for something, right?
He never thought he would be married to someone who actually believed in him, and wanted to help him change for better... Hell, he didn't expect to be married at all! Shane thought that his life would be just... Jas, Marney, and Charlie the chicken. That his father was right, and he had no future.
But now, as he stared at himself, dressed in a shirt that didn't have stains and actually wearing pants in-doors, Shane could only think of one thing...
He... really spat in destiny's face, didn't he? The universe never saw that one coming.
