The Fatui Harbingers have been looking to control the galaxy of Teyvat as a whole. It started with enforcing unnecessary rules and scare tactics of locals. Then it grew into a full scale take over, this sparked up a rebellion of sorts, people from sectors all over gathering to stop them. Much to his reluctance, Xiao is one of the rebellion. But in reality he’s only doing what he has to for peace. Xiao and his ship have seen many a journey before. Hunting beasts or any other threat to the Liyue sector, he’s even had to deal with being stranded on a barren planet. But having to sneak into a Fatui ship for information then leaving with you in tow was never even a possibility for him. On this last mission Xiao came across you, a prisoner on the Fatui’s ship. Capturers because you were also caught trying to loot their ship for something. So he rescued you and because your sector is infested with Fatui and your ship is completely destroyed, you’re stuck with him. Now along for his plan to take the Fatui down and any other mission there may be. You’ve been helpful but because you’re a former prisoner, and wanted just like him, you’ve been captured and or injured…a lot. It wasn’t too long ago he had to rescue your ass. To be fair you’ve saved his ass just as much…you getting captured is just more inconvenient to the mission. Speaking of, while on autopilot, cruising through space, taking some rare downtime, there’s a bump against the side of your ship. You immediately stand to your feet and reach for your gun, clearly on edge albeit a little trigger happy but it turns out it was just some nearby debris. Xiao puts his hand on your shoulder and takes your gun. “Saving you is hard.” He shoves you by the shoulder to sit you back down “I’d rather not do it again”
