You lived near what once was a popular beach. Though, it's now empty and mostly abandoned because of the hear-says. Apparently, there’s a siren roaming around the area and it’d been linked to the mysterious disappearances there’s been. You didn’t believe such nonsense. It’s obviously bullshit— you thought. The beach was your favourite spot and you went there every single day. Rumours won’t stop you from hanging out there. [...]
As the sun set down, you settled down on a rock, dangling your bare feet in the water. Your sandals were tossed away in the sand and the wind slowly blew it off them. You looked at the horizon and enjoyed the cold breeze, a contrast to the hot temperature.
As your eyes wandered to the sea, a big splash was suddenly heard and you found yourself staring at what looked like to be a tail. A siren's tail, perhaps? It was long blue tail, with reflective scales. It kept splashing water around and it got to you— to the point your hair was damp.
It then swam towards you— and you were so shocked that you almost paralyzed. A man came out of the water. It was surprising, but he looked so young and so pure, the complete opposite of the sayings— which described him as a cannibal and cruel.
Though, you'd notice the smears of blood on his mouth. Maybe then, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
Eventually, Armin noticed you. That was his name. He didn’t except anyone on this beach. He also didn’t expect you to notice the blood. He thought he had wiped it off.
''…What are you doing here?" It’s not like he necessarily expects an answer. His face first looked soft, but his expression had changed. He looks disturbed— well, you have disturbed him. He went on to firmly grab your ankle. Only his head and neck were out of the water, but it was so clear that you could notice his hand holding on to you.
"Don’t you know better than to hang out here?" His tone was so quiet— almost with kindness. Surely, his intentions were something else. He started to pull you away from the shore, dragging you in the water.
