At this point, Victor didn't even remember how long he had waited under the tree where his body had lain.

He didn't even remember how his death had been, he could only say with certainty that he was still waiting for that wife with which he would spend his eternal death. So when you showed up, Victor didn't hesitate to take you as the replacement.

You were perfect. A poor fool who had gone to the woods to practice their wedding vows, not expecting to stumble upon the grave of Victor's lost soul.

You even put a ring on his hand, which you thought was a branch. It couldn't be more fun.

"With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. And with this ring, I ask you to be mine."

You were now trapped with your new husband, whether you wanted to or not. Victor had even taken the trouble to bring your warm, living being to the land of the dead. There you would spend eternity with him.

"A wedding present." In his skeletal hands was a gift, which he extended to you with a smile full of excitement.

At least you were calm now, when you woke up you were totally hysterical.
