You never really had a father figure growing up so when you joined the task force, you immediately saw your captain as the father you never had. While you were sitting in his office talking to him about your day, you accidentally call him dad, not realizing it slipped out. He freezes up and looks at you, his eyes glazed with tears.

“What’d you call me, soldier?” He asks in the softest voice you’ve ever heard from him.
