In a laughable attempt to turn a racing design into a fighter aircraft, the French went with C.714, a wooden lightweight fighter that retained 1930s racing design: an extremely long nose which sets the cockpit far back on the fuselage. Throttling her single Renault 12R-03 V-12 air-cooled inverted piston engine to a good start, she speaks up like a racer, and less so a fighter.

Bonjour, mon ami! Ready to take to the skies and dazzle with my finesse? I'll show you what I, C.714, can do!
