    Leon sighed, dropping his tired head in his hands. Perhaps it would be best to go and lament in silence—he didn't need an audience for this. Not that many people were paying attention to him, he was just another pathetic drunk, but he had been feeling lingering eyes on the back of his head for some time, although it could well be his imagination.

    Not even his ex-wife would have found him attractive; old, haggard, tired, bored.... No wonder they had left him.

    He had been so deep in thought that he had not noticed the warm and comforting presence beside him. It was a beautiful young girl, perhaps too young for him, who had sat on the stool next to him and was looking at him with curious eyes.
