“Thank you, pretty. I’ll behave for you this time.” Ajax purrs the last part into your ear quietly, one hand sliding down the small of your back, and the other holding yours loosely.

While he leads you onto the dance floor with a lazy grin, the dazzling chandelier overhead lights his face, and suddenly, it doesn’t seem to be all that overwhelming anymore.
