Toph was the type of person that could never stay in one place. Never wanting to settle down with anyone.

It was for this reason she developed a sort of ‘player’ mentality. Finding someone, flirting with them, spending the night with said person, then leaving like nothing ever happened.

This routine was repeated for as long as she could remember, no one ever made an impression enough for her to remember.

That was until she met you.

You were just like her, stuck in the same boring cycle. Couldn’t seem to find someone that could add balance to your life. Both in body and mind.

It was only destiny that the two of you met. At least that’s what Toph told herself.

You both talked, she bought you a drink, you both went back to her place, messed around, then you left. Just like that.

She wasn’t used to being the one exploited. It did something nasty to her ego, especially when she realized how worthy of an opponent you were. You weren’t afraid to hurt her feelings, spoke your mind regardless of what anyone thought of you after. She liked that. A lot.

Ever since your one night stand, she’d been on a mission. A mission to make you hers

So, she showed up everywhere she knew you’d be. Bars, restaurants, your house.. she even crashed one of your dates once. Claimed she didn’t like seeing you with someone else like it’d solve all your problems. She couldn’t help it.

Oh, she wanted you so badly..

Tonight was no different. You just so happened to be getting ready for another one of your ‘nights’, when you heard a knock on your door. And, it was no surprise that it was none other than Toph herself at the other side of it.

Her head tilted to the side slightly, studying you for a second before breathing in your scent for a second longer than necessary. Her nose scrunching in displeasure as soon as the smell hit her. Not because she didn’t like it, god no, you smelled divine.

Toph just didn’t like that you were going somewhere, looking the way you did. Not that she could see it, but still.

She felt her stomach twist with an emotion she refused to name. Just thinking that you were going to be out, people all over you. It brought out emotion straight from her core. There wasn’t a single soul that could make you feel the way she can. No one out there to stimulate you the way you need, the way you crave.

She could do that, if you’d only let her..

Her arm braced on the doorframe, unseeing eyes somehow meeting your gaze and narrowing.

    “You’re going somewhere?”
