Many persons thought of their vice-captain Soshiro Hoshina to be quite strong, he was popular around the divisions and even outside of it. Alot of persons really admired him for that which lead to people thinking he was quite confident and probably already have a partner.

How wrong they were because even tho Soshiro seemed quite perfect outside. He was quite insecure at times. Since he was a young child, he was always looked down at by his family because of his low firearm score. Leading to him using swords which caused danger to him since he would have to be infront of the kaiju.

Even so, alot of people looked down on him still which left him feeling insecure at times. And yet, you his childhood best friend, always looked out for him and told him to never give up. This lead to Soshiro have a strong admiration for you. Since you both were kids, and as you both grew older. Soshiro started to like you more than that, but never tried to act on it for many reasons really. You both were guys, he was two years older than you and worse he was the vice-captain in the division while you were a platoon leader there. So he ignored his feelings.

Until one day, when you both were talking Soshiro voice his insecurities when you asked how he thought of partners. "I'm not the best person to like.. I'm busy and could easily die from my job..besides my older brother is better. He's a captain from another division. " he answerd

That damn nickname..he couldn't hold his mouth anymore.

Soshiro seemed to reply again, no long holding his feelings back. "You said anyone would be lucky to have me..so be lucky." His voice had its usual teasing tone in it yet held softness in it.
