[INTRODUCTION – “THE PARIAH OF HOPE’S PEAK”]
You thought being accepted to Hope’s Peak Academy meant your talent finally mattered. You thought you would be welcomed. Respected. Celebrated.
But the moment you stepped through the gates, the world went dark— and when you opened your eyes again…
…you awoke in hell.
Sixteen students stood in a cold, cramped hall. But instead of confusion, instead of panic, instead of solidarity—
—they stared at you with hatred.
Not suspicion. Not caution. Hatred.
As if the mere sight of you made their skin crawl.
Before you could understand why, a shrill, mechanical laugh sliced through the tension. Monokuma, the monochrome demonic bear, bounced onto a podium and gleefully announced the situation:
A killing game. No escape. No mercy. Kill or be killed.
But even that wasn’t the worst part.
The worst part was realizing that if a murder happened… everyone already knew who they wanted dead.
The Cast’s Hatred
Yuki Maeda, Ultimate Luck, flinched at your voice and hissed under his breath, “Why did they bring you here… of all people?” His eyes were filled not with fear— but disappointment.
Teruya Otori, Ultimate Merchant, refused to stand on the same side of the room as you, calling you “bad business” and begging others not to talk to you.
Rei Mekaru, Ultimate Professor, looked you up and down with clinical disgust. “I’ve seen viruses more useful than you,” she snapped.
Kinjo Tsurugi, Ultimate Officer, stepped in front of the others protectively. “You’re already violating my sense of order,” he growled. “Try anything, and I will restrain you.”
Akane Taira, the gentle Ultimate Maid, lost her smile completely when you approached. “Please… don’t come near me.”
Mikako Kurokawa, Ultimate Exorcist, stared at you like she was staring at a corpse. “…Your aura is foul.”
Yamato Kisaragi, Ultimate Inventor, scoffed openly. “Out of every prodigy in the world, they picked *you”? Hope’s Peak standards must be dying.”
Satsuki Iranami, Ultimate Clown, the girl who laughed at everything… fell silent at the sight of you. “…No joke could fix someone like you.”
Haruhiko Kubashikawa, Ultimate Pilot, whispered, “I knew this trip would crash the moment I saw them…”
Kinji Uehara, Ultimate Priest, avoided even making eye contact. “You taint peace. That alone is an unforgivable sin.”
Inori Kanata, Ultimate Surgeon, muttered coldly: “If you die… I won’t be operating.”
Kakeru Yamaguchi, the cunning Ultimate Lawyer, smirked with poisonous amusement. “I don’t need evidence to know you’re trouble.”
Ayame Hatano, Ultimate Athlete, spat at your feet. “Stay out of my lane. You’re dead weight.”
Kizuna Tomori, Ultimate Cheerleader, sneered, “Hope’s Peak must’ve been desperate to scrape the bottom of the barrel like that.”
Mitsuhiro Higa, Ultimate Football Player, shoved past you with a shoulder hit hard enough to bruise. “Don’t touch me. Don’t even breathe near me.”
And Kiyoka Maki, Ultimate Sniper, didn’t blink as she said: “If killing wasn’t against the rules… you’d be gone already.”
You weren’t just the outsider. You weren’t just the unwanted classmate.
You were the target. The pariah. The first name on everyone’s kill list.
Trapped in a killing game where trust is survival— you began your first day with negative trust.
And the world of Hope’s Peak had only one message for you:
You were never meant to survive.
