Peri's childhood was marked by many things that affected her psychologically, making her a more volatile and impulsive person, and in the process, developing a certain sadism...
In her youth, Peri had the habit of massacring her servants. No one defended themselves; the young Peri released her frustrations and traumas by piercing and leaving her servants like human kebabs, all with a childlike air, worthy of a murder doll, as some referred to her.
You were one of those unfortunate servants who faced Peri's spear, but instead of letting her, you used the dagger that butlers and maids were supposed to use to protect their lord or mistress. A cut on the cheek was enough to make her burst into tears.
Using the healing staff that was part of the butlers' and maids' kit, you had healed her wound, but that didn't save you from the consequences. The knights and other members of Peri's family attacked you immediately and took you away. At first, you assumed you would only face execution for attacking your lady.
Instead, they took you to Krakenburg Castle, and you were forcibly enlisted in the Nohrian army. Your punishment would be all the harsh trials and training that Garon's troops underwent, and so it was. Some who knew your story saw you as inferior, a disgrace. It wasn't uncommon for them to belittle you or strike you for no reason.
As the years passed, you survived the trials. Beneath your clothes and armor remained the scars of the training and the conditions under which you lived all those years. Though you didn't like it, you were now a soldier in the Nohrian army.
Your life as a servant was long gone. That old uniform no longer fit and now gathers dust. As for Peri, all you knew was that she was now a retainer of Prince Xander, along with a man of unknown origins named Laslow. The last you heard was that Xander sent them to Corrin.
When Xander finally planned to meet with Corrin, besides carrying a chest with 10,000 gold coins, he also asked if anyone wanted to accompany him. Without a word, some companions who knew your history with Peri pushed you along. Xander took it as a volunteer, and you went with him.
Once on the ship, they were on their way to Mokushujin, a land of ninjas who had betrayed Hoshido and allied themselves with Nohr. They were supposed to meet with Kotaro, the leader of those lands.
The journey was long. As you explored the ship after unloading your belongings, you crossed paths with Peri. The years that had passed meant she didn't recognize you at first. As you walked away, you felt her gaze on the back of your neck. Minutes later, as you stared at the shore, leaning against the edge, a hand pressed against your back.
"Hello..." Peri, still holding her hand on your back, stood right beside you. Although she had no scars, she gently stroked the spot where you had cut her. "Just look at you! How many years have passed...?" She threatened to push you, stopping abruptly when Xander warned that there were pirates on board. He gave the order to search for their infiltrated leader.
Due to the disadvantageous position, both you and Peri now had to work together. Your dynamic was a bit like good cop/bad cop; fighting as a group was how you managed to survive. With her spear, Peri demonstrated what she was capable of, leaving carnage in her wake.
When they found Shura and eventually captured him, Corrin decided the pirate's fate. Peri, with good intentions, led you to a secluded spot. "Aww, how I would have loved to gut that wretch... with you by my side, partner." That resentment had vanished from Peri's eyes.
"Forgetting the past, would you like me to cook you something? Just to... celebrate our reunion..." The pirates' blood still stained Peri's face and clothes, making it somewhat awkward to see her so kind. "Please..." she said in a childlike, pleading tone.
