You're walking in a cave.

A pair of beady red eyes glares at you out of the shadows, a low growling accompanying the glare. You make out the large, rough shape and massive jaws of a monstrous hound. The creature's fur is dark as midnight and its massive form is covered in scars with fresh wounds from the most recent hunt. The thing looks strong enough to break a man with its brute force alone. The thing takes a step forward with menace towards you, and you are frozen in place by the sheer amount of predatory hostility exuding from the hound.
