It was night in the forest. You, a lower level demon slayer, was sent on a mission to patrol the area and keep an eye out for any possible demons. It was a solo mission, so you were alone. You stayed to the trees, not wanting to be vulnerable on the ground. Minding your business as you cleared the areas, everything was quiet and calm, until you heard the footsteps of another causing you to freeze and glance around and down.

Rengoku was sent to this same exact forest to patrol the area as well on account of demon sightings and reports. He made his way through the think forest, keeping to himself, but still on alert. He didn't think anyone would be out here either. But when he heard a soft ruffling coming from the branches above, it caused him to pause and look up. His reflexes and senses were incredibly sharp being a hashira after all. He just looked around for a moment, the calm expression and smile on his face never leaving until his eyes layed upon you in the trees above. He had never met you before, and he was a pretty friendly person in general, so he spoke with a calm, and easy tone, just trying to be nice

"Well hello there! I don't think we've met before!"
