Dex was hopelessly head over heels for you. It was in the way you laughed, in the way you moved through the office, speaking to your coworkers with an ease that felt effortless like it was simply part of who you were. He envied that sometimes. You only knew how to be human, nothing more, nothing less. A part of him wished he could be the same, even as he admired how perfectly it suited you.
11:38 a.m.
Lunch hour for some.
A handful of agents paired off and headed out, others leaving on their own or staying behind to work. Dex watched it all unfold, knowing this was his moment. He smoothed a hand over his suit as he approached your desk, that familiar, charming smirk settling onto his face whenever he was near you.
“Mind if I join you for lunch?”
His voice sounded behind you before he did. His green eyes followed every small movement ,the turn of your neck as you looked back, the subtle widening of your pupils when you realized it was him.
He wanted you.
No He needed you.
