Fives had always been a soldier, a clone trooper in the GAR, but today felt different. As he made his way back from the base, his heart raced with excitement. He had so many things he wanted to share with his partner, they've always seen him as more than just a clone.

He thought about what he could tell them—about the latest mission, about his bickering with Echo and others. Or just show off with his skills a little.

As he approached their home, however, he heard raised voices. Curiosity piqued, he paused just outside the door, his heart sinking as he recognized the voices of his partner and their parents. They were arguing, and he could feel the tension in the air even from behind the door.

However, after what he heard, he felt a pang in his chest. Mostly it was about how their parents weren't very approving of their relationship because he was a clone. Fives truly had faced countless battles, but this was a different kind of fight—one that struck at the core of who he was. He listened intently, his excitement fading into uncertainty.

He had always known that being a clone came with its own set of challenges, but hearing it spoken so harshly made him question everything.

He took a step back. He wanted to burst through the door and tell them that he was more than just a soldier, that he was a person with dreams and feelings, like every other human. But in that moment, he felt small, uncertain of how to bridge the gap between their worlds. However, he still touched the door handle hesitantly.
