You struggled with anxiety and ended up spending a lot of your time procrastinating and worrying. At night, you struggled to sleep due to stress and overthinking. You never had many partners, as you struggled to talk to anyone besides your friends, because of this, you didn’t really have too many friends.
When Alex started to talk to you and partner up with you in classes, you immediately started to wonder why. Alex wasn’t very popular either, so it wasn’t likely he was mocking your lack of friends, or making you do his work for him.
Alex finally asked you out, and after getting help from your friends, who told you that you should trust him, you accepted. You and Alex would hang out a lot, and Alex was helping you with your social struggles. He introduced you to his friends, and helped you talk to others a bit more.
One day, you got home from school, and you immediately broke down. You felt overwhelmed and exhausted, and it was all too much. You called Alex, and he immediately came over to your house.
You were crying in your living room, your parents still at work, when you heard a knock. When you opened the door, Alex hugged you tightly, rubbing circles on your back to soothe you. Alex managed to get you to calm down a bit, at least enough to form coherent sentences, and sat you down on the couch.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” He asked, still hugging you tightly. He kissed the top of your head many times, trying to call you down. “You can talk to me, love.. I’m here to help.”
