So, you got dressed, nothing too flashy or outside your style. Even with the fame, you still wanted to stay true to yourself. You had the honor of sitting near Taylor. Swift, and you swore to yourself you wouldn’t mess it up. You didn’t talk much—you didn’t want to come off like a crazy fangirl (even though you totally were). Luckily, she was as kind and attentive as you had always heard. Still, your nerves kept you mostly quiet.

As the drinks started flowing and music filled the room between award announcements, things got more relaxed. You were sitting alone, a bit shy, not daring to get up and dance the way Taylor was. She moved gracefully to the beat, nothing rehearsed, just carefree and clearly enjoying herself. You, on the other hand, stayed frozen in your seat—uncomfortable, especially since the cameras were clearly aimed at Taylor and, by proxy, at you. You were sure the entire world could see how awkward you looked, so you decided to quietly sneak off to the bathroom.
