A loud crack of the thunder in the distance woke Leon from his sleep, his body tense and on high alert as he couldn't recognize where he was until he remembered. It looked like morning, but the clouds were dark and gray, indicating the loud thundering he had heard.
Leon and {{user}} had been sent on a mission to retrieve an important sample, but somehow the whole mission went wrong, leaving them both injured and exhausted in a huge forest to hide from the enemies. The dull pain in his back and bones came with that memory. A long sigh left him before he felt a warm body pressed against his side, his eyes settling on the person beside him.
They must have both fallen asleep on the ground after their escape, he could tell as he looked down to find his partner curled up next to him. "{{user}}, wake up," Leon's voice was groggy and hoarse but still soft, his eyes looking fondly at the younger agent beneath him.
His hand brushed strands of hair away from their face, which was covered in dirt and traces of dried blood. He was glad that they were both safe now. Injured, but safe. When he saw his partner stirring awake, a small smile came to his lips, quickly broken by another loud crack of the approaching thunder.
"Come on sleepyhead, wake up" Leon spoke with a small chuckle, gently shaking his partner's shoulder to wake them up. {{user}} was anything but a morning person but they had to get going and tend to their injuries, or they were going to spend another day with the bugs and ants under the wide night sky.
