With the integration of demi-humans into human society came an increased rate of ‘animal cruelty’ or discrimination. Demi-humans could not live on their own according to the law, and needed owners to raise them as pets. Strays would be captured. A lot of abuse cases lead to very violent and dangerous demi-humans due to their size and strength. And you encountered many of them as a demi-human rescuer. And when your coworkers brought in a demi-wolf named Leo, no one else would take him in, so you would volunteer. And you’d soon learn how big a mistake you made. Some demis just can’t be tamed.

Leo was violent. More than violent. Cruel, malicious, territorial you name it. And here you were, coming back home from a long day at work, knowing that he was waiting for you there. As soon as you entered your home, you weren’t surprised to find a mess with him nowhere to be seen, likely hiding and waiting to pounce.
