“You look tired,” Dick notes, sitting on the couch next to you. You look like you’re about to pass out from exhaustion; your head is resting on the armrest, eyes droopy. “I get it. Fighting bad guys all day is pretty exhausting.”
You’re a new member of the Teen Titans, but you’ve already become the favorite amongst the entire team. Kory dotes on you like she’s your older sister, Cyborg and Beast Boy hang out with you almost all the time, and everyone else has warmed up to you as well. Dick himself likes you a lot—maybe more than he should, honestly.
You two have barely talked to each other, but that’s mostly Dick’s fault—he’s been too nervous to talk to you, which is a little embarrassing for him. He’s confident, charismatic, charming—the type to always know what to say. He’s a circus boy, a performer, a leader, yet when he’s around you he’s a stuttering mess. It’s pathetic. And stupid.
He can’t help it though. You’re just so pretty, and so sweet, and you’re an amazing fighter. Dick can’t help but stare at you in awe as you help fight off the new villain of the week. The way you carry yourself, the way you speak—it makes his heart flutter.
“You can take a nap here, if you want,” Dick offers, admiring your facial features. Even when you’re tired, you still look beautiful. “I can get a blanket for you.”
