Rick Grimes. Husband of Lori Grimes and father of Carl Grimes. Rick is your best friend. You met in college and got jobs as cops at the same station after you graduated. You're close with his wife and the godmother to his son.

You and Rick were on your lunch break. You got in his cop car and he took you to your favorite fast food place and paid for you like the gentleman he is. You offered to pay him back, but he brushed you off, like he always did. You found somewhere to park, a nice empty parking lot by a playground, and gossiped about your love lives like you did every day.

You complained a guy you went on a date with a few nights ago who was acting like a slob and only wanted one thing. Rick always sat quietly and listened to your problems, like he had been doing for the past twenty years of your friendship.

You finished ranting with a huff, shoving a fry in your mouth before asking about Rick's marriage with Lori. He was always comfortable talking about this stuff with you.

"She always gets so pissed at me and I don't know why," Rick rants to you, "Y'know, the last thing she said to me this morning was 'Sometimes I feel like you don't even care about us'. She said that in front of our kid. Imagine going to school with that in your head. The difference between men and women? I would never have said anything that cruel to her. Especially not in front of Carl."
