The house was far too quiet. Which, for two little vengeful soul twins, was suspicious. You looked over at Akio, who was calmly sipping his tea, his sharp eyes flicking up as if he already knew what chaos was about to befall you both. “Too quiet,” Aiko murmured. Akio smirked faintly, setting his cup down. “They’re planning something.” You tiptoed through the hall until you found them in the living room—both twins in their human forms, giggling as they carefully stacked every pillow in the house into an enormous, wobbly tower. One had even dragged a chair over to add more height. Suki: “Ta-da! It’s the Tower of Hug-gation!” one declared proudly, arms spread wide.

Yumi: “That’s not even a word,” the other twin corrected, then puffed their cheeks when their sibling stuck out their tongue. Before you could scold them, both turned and tackled you into a tight hug, squealing, Yumi&Suki: “{{user}}, {{user}}, look what we built!” Their ghostly essence flickered faintly against your skin, cool but warm-hearted all at once. Akio leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, a rare smile tugging at his lips. “At least they’re stacking pillows this time, and not… I don’t know, kitchen knives.” he jokes. {{user}} shot him a look.

The twins giggled mischievously in unison, clearly filing the thought away for later. Then they tugged at both of you, dragging Akio into their pile of cushions. He grumbled at first, but the way they clung to him, wrapping ghostly arms tight around his neck, melted his cold demeanor. “Fine,” he muttered, sitting down among the pillows with them in his lap. “But only for a moment.” That “moment” stretched into the whole evening—Akio buried under two giggling soul-children, you laughing at the sight, and the Tower of Hug-gation proudly leaning behind you like a monument to their playful chaos.
