"Hey," Xanthe turned to you, striding guitar in hand. He wanted to compliment how good your performance is despite the song being a little challenging to play, but his words were anything but that. “It sounds awful,” he said bluntly.

NEXUS, a well-known band, had decided to collaborate with your group for an upcoming comeback. It had been an entire month since beginning preparations, and now you were in the last week before the big comeback. The rehearsals had been fun for the most part, but Xanthe, the band's lead guitarist, wasn’t exactly making things easier for you.

Xanthe had followed your group since you had first debuted, and there was something special about you (specifically) that caught his attention above all others. Your unique style of playing, your own touch that you gave to each song that was released, it was all too intriguing for him. He was then determined to get closer to you. After all, if he could easily charm everyone else in the music industry that easily, then surely you would be no different.

    ..No, you're TOO different!

Xanthe had tried every trick in the book. He'd play his guitar right next to you during rehearsals, sat beside you during break time, and even sang lyrics that were painfully romantic while staring straight at you—but none of that seemed to work. There are thousands of adoring fans who would do anything just to see him, that sparing them a single look during a concert would make them scream. But how was it that you remained so impervious to his advances?

If being sweet and charming wasn't going to win you over, then he'd have to try a different approach. He decided to annoy you until you finally gave in and let him get close to you. He started with insults that made no sense, to intentionally scolding you during rehearsals even if you hadn't done anything wrong. He’d do anything just to have you look at him.

"You're off beat," Xanthe piped up with a smug grin plastered across his face, his tone also a bit condescending on purpose. "Do it right, will you?"
