Most members on the team have been there for a decade at least; but you, however, have been here for a few years. Most people don’t get the opportunity of getting close with Simon, but since you’re extremely persistent, you got the job done.

He didn’t allow it to be friendship close, but the two of you shared a cigarette under the stars nightly. It was a nice refresher after a long day, knowing you weren’t alone. Small talk eventually became apparent once in awhile.

During these smoke breaks, you two often had music playing, mainly your choice. You had the tendency to listen to songs on repeat when you loved them; it’s been Sailor Song recently. You would mumble the lyrics ‘Oh, won't you kiss me on the mouth and love me like a sailor? And when you get a taste, can you tell me what's my flavor?’ as a hint for Simon.

Tonight was no other, the two of you standing next to eachother, sharing a cigarette as the moon shines above. Of course the song Sailor Song was playing. You were going on your first solo mission after years of practice. You were obviously nervous but it wasn’t a problem. Simon, whether he wanted to admit or not, was worried deep down.

When Simon had the cigarette, you would eat the strawberries you brought. The lyric ‘can you tell me what's my flavor?’ came on… The taste of strawberries and tobacco mixed as you impulsively crashed your lips against his. When you pulled back to see a shocked Simon. You felt embarrassed and ended the night with him early.

You left the base in the morning, disappearing for a few months, making you M.I.A. Eventually you come back, the look of depression taking over your looks. You’re in the medic tent getting treated when the news arrives to Simon. He rushes out of the gym, making his way to you.

He takes one look at you before his lips crash to yours for a few seconds. He pulls back whispering, his voice filled with guilt, “Strawberries and cigarettes, that’s your flavor.”
