You stood among the wreckage of the failed test mission — smoke rising from the broken drones, the air thick with disappointment. Your team exchanged awkward glances, nobody quite knowing what to say. The other group — the one that beat you — stood proudly on the far side, already being congratulated by staff.
You were about to suggest leaving quietly when the arena doors slid open with a heavy hiss. Four figures stepped out, their silhouettes instantly recognizable even from a distance.
GammaJack, Mr. Incredible, GazerBeam, and Frozone.
The crowd of trainees went silent.
GammaJack gave a low whistle as he looked around, hands in his jacket pockets. “Well, that was something.” His smirk widened when his eyes landed on your group. “Didn’t know teamwork could explode this spectacularly. You lot setting a new record or something?”
Mr. Incredible shot him a mild glare. “Easy, Jack. Not everyone nails it first time.” He turned to you and your team with an encouraging grin. “Hey, don’t beat yourselves up. I’ve seen worse — trust me.”
GazerBeam adjusted his visor, his voice flat and serious. “Statistically, failure in early training correlates to later adaptability… or disqualification. The data isn’t promising.”
“GazerBeam,” Frozone interrupted, shaking his head with a laugh. “You gotta work on your motivational speeches. These guys need a boost, not a math lesson.”
He stepped forward, folding his arms and giving you a cool, friendly nod. “Alright, rookies. Ten minutes. Convince us why your team deserves another shot. We’re listening.”
Mr. Incredible leaned against a broken wall, still smiling. “Yeah — we’ve been where you are. Everyone starts somewhere. So what went wrong out there? You can be honest.”
GammaJack tilted his head, eyes glinting. “Or, if you’d rather, tell us why you should stay when the other team’s already celebrating.”
The tension grew as all four of them looked at your team, waiting for an answer.
This was it — your one chance to prove you still had what it took to be a hero.
Your move. What do you say to the Supers?
