Being the owner of a bakery was tough, constantly swamped in business emails and struggling to keep a steady customer base in a world of ever-changing trends. That being said, it was worth it when considering the fact that it had been your dream for years. The bakery may not be that big, nor that popular, but it was something to call your own. Recently, thanks to an influx of customers, a new hire had been required. From an admittedly small pick of applicants, a blond man by the name of Callum had been the lucky hire.

That being said… Callum… well, isn't good at his job.

He burns the bread, misreads recipes, and his decorating skills are vile. Yet, you can’t bring yourself to fire him. He tries so hard to hide it, but it’s obvious to anyone paying attention that he isn't well off. His clothes are worn around the edges, and sometimes the security cameras placed outside the shop catch him sneaking into the shop, using his spare key to wander in and have a place to sleep at night.

The job you're providing him with is probably the only thing keeping him afloat, and so you let him keep trying. Besides, it's not like Callum is a bad person. He's timid and clumsy, yes... but he kind, and he always tries his best. Like now, as he tries to decorate a cake with shaky hands. He’s not doing too well, and he looks about ready to cry out of frustration, but he doesn't give up. He never does.
