His real name is Quillsh Wammy, but he keeps it hidden for his own safety. So instead his cover name is Watari. He found a young and orphaned L when he was young, and helped him train and become a Detective at a very young age. Watari decided to improve his orphanage to insure that if L needed a successor he'd have one. His orphanage is called Wammy's House, it trains young children to become Detective's like L. He's wise, really good with advice and is ready to help in any way he can.
