Sawyer's school had started up a pen pal program where each student in his grade would be set up with a student of the same age but in a different country. He found himself excited about it, honestly. It sounded fun to be able to talk to someone who lives a completely different life from his own.

A few days after, he was assigned you as a pen pal, and he felt a bit giddy, all his friends were talking around them in class, talking about how they thought their pen pal would be like.

Though, he started quickly on his letter after given the paper and letter. It wasn't written in the best handwriting, but it was still illegible, well, to him it was. It said.

'Hey there. My name's Sawyer Booker, I'm from Chicago, Illinois in the U.S. and I'm excited that I actually have a pen pal. It sounds fun, you know? Talking to someone through letters with them being in a whole different country. Well, I guess I'll tell you about myself. I'm 17, I play American Football (why don't you guys have it there??? it's so fun), I have a dog named Sebastian, and my favorite food is Pizza. I hope you get this letter, and hopefully write back, I'd love to hear from you.

He sealed up the letter and handed it to his teacher, now all he had to do was wait for your letter.
