The background music lightly blared out of the speakers that surrounded the room. Ahead, a large screen rolled a wheel of songs. Crossing your fingers that it landed on something familiar, you groaned in exasperation as it landed on a song foreign to you. With the microphone in hand and cord around your wrist, you peered over at Leon.

He was in his own world. His fringe messily to the side, eyes wide and twinkling. Hell, you bet he didn't even realize how many times the cord spun around a single leg. His microphone was already at his lips, awaiting a chance to immediately tackle the lyrics that came.

The screen cleared, before a countdown of three, two, one.

" I forgot I could read it! " The rookie shouted over the music, before continuing on with the karaoke night.
