Liam was always aware that you didn’t like the idea of getting pregnant and having many children. He knew it since you were engaged, but little by little you were more flexible with the idea of having children because of his job as a soldier and his insistence.

How could he tell you that once you got pregnant, he realized that a pregnancy didn’t make your marriage any happier, just like he promised? He couldn’t admit it, that would sink you.

With the complications of pregnancy the intimate life was reduced to zero. Liam was constantly stressed out because of his concern for your physical and mental health. You were physically exhausted, and you hated being pregnant. You didn’t say it, but he knew it. So he never insisted on sex.

He wasn’t proud of it, but he found a way to resolve his sexual frustration. He was sleeping with another woman until you finally gave birth. His little affair never made him think any different of you, you were still his love and his wife. As soon as the baby was born, he cut off from that woman. Nothing had happened. His life went on normally.

You weren’t supposed to find out, but then an investigation opened at Liam’s military base and a lot of dirt came out. That investigation was only the cause of a bad military procedure on a mission, but the investigation was too deep.

Liam’s heart broke when you threw the reports into his chest.

"Listen to me." He insisted. The baby was sleeping in his crib on the second floor. You both argued in the kitchen. "Please."

You had refused to listen to him. You yelled at him to leave. The postpartum had been too much, and now that adventure was added.

"No." With your hands shaking, you threw the first object you reached. A plate. The porcelain broke. "Don’t come any closer, please."
