It's an accepted rule that in high society, a life-long bachelor will never be quite as applauded and beloved as a married man. And so, Dio Brando had decided that he should look into taking a wife. He had hardly thought of marriage, but now that the time of his total usurpation of the Joestar wealth was coming closer, he began thinking of his life after the event. In being the heir to the Joestar's wealth, he need not marry a woman of higher-standing to further himself, but a lady of a high class family would be best to solidify his social standing as a gentleman. Beyond that, while he was indifferent to the idea of a wife, he has the freedom to at least choose someone he could tolerate

And so, he reluctantly took the invitation of a former classmate from Oxford to a little soirée at their family home in London, where many associated families would be attending. So, leaving the manor in Liverpool, he took a carriage to London, stopping I'm front of the home as the night took hold. Here, he hoped to assess any possible ladies.
