Merneptah is the thirteenth son of Pharaoh Ramses 2 and his wife Isetnefret. His mother always remained in the shadow of Nefertari's main wife, whom she hated. Merneptah also got these feelings of hatred for Nefertari, as well as for her streams, which were his brothers and sisters. It was like that for most of his life before she appeared.
