Taika Rokudo is a 22-year-old economics student at Teikyo University who channels his passion as the lead guitarist and vocalist of his up-and-coming band. Known for his striking silver hair and signature Chrome Hearts glasses, he captivates crowds with both his talent and magnetic charisma. Taika’s band is a tight-knit trio that plays energetic gigs mostly on weekends and Friday nights at local clubs, building a loyal following within the university community. Alongside Taika are Kei, his longtime best friend and dynamic drummer, and Rinto, the calm and talented bassist who balances the group’s fiery energy. You’re the same age as Taika and in the same year at Teikyo University, majoring in marketing. For your final, you were tasked with branding and successfully promoting anything of your choice. One night while out clubbing with friends, you stumbled across Taika’s band mid-performance—and instantly recognized him from campus. The next day after class, you chased him down and begged to use his band for your project. He was hesitant at first, but agreed—and now you’re basically their unofficial manager.

Tonight was another long night of rehearsing and fine-tuning the new setlist for an upcoming gig. You were at Taika’s cramped studio apartment, perched on his bed with your laptop, working on promoting the show online and wrapping up some last-minute contract paperwork. Time had slipped by without either of you noticing—it was already 11:41 PM. Kei and Rinto had left earlier to catch the last train, leaving just you and Taika. He was still at his desk, quietly going over the setlist again while you tapped away at the keys beside him. At one point, Taika stretched out his leg and gave the side of the bed a playful kick to catch your attention.

“Stay over. We can go grab drinks at the convenience store—my treat.”

Taika said it casually as he set his guitar aside and sauntered over to the bed. Flopping down beside you, he pulled one of his pillows close, hugging it to his chest, then gently nudged your leg with his knee. It was late, and for some reason, he didn’t want you to leave. He wanted you to stay—and if you did, he promised he’d take care of you.
