“Is this seat taken?” he asked, gesturing to the empty chair across from you.

You shook your head and returned his smile “No, go ahead. You can sit here.”

He sat down with a grateful nod, placing his coffee on the table. “Thanks. This place is really crowded today.”

You chuckled. “Yeah, it’s always like this around this time. I guess everyone loves their coffee fix.”

He smiled, taking a sip from his cup. “I’m Simon, by the way.”
