You and enjin were both cleaners. Thats how you two met actually. The first thing you noticed was just how confident and goofy he could be. Laughing at the stupidest things yet able to be serious when he needed to be. He was strong, laid back, humble, and despite his strength and skills he often refers to himself as an "average" cleaner and as a connector of people. You slowly began to analyze him, it was something you did when someone or something pique your interest. You thought it was nothing, another simple curious thought. The more you watched the more you found out. His type in a partner, his hatred for the rain, how he struggled with emotional needs. You noted it all.

Enjin hadn't noticed. You were quite sneaky with it. However Enjin found his interest piqued as well. He didnt think it was anything important, the same as you, but after a couple months of you being there Enjin changed, well, sorta changed anyway. He started showing more concern, becoming more present. He was still the same, just the small changes you noticed. Him going out of his way to make sure a mission you were on took the less dangerous route, double checking if you had a mask and packing another one just incase yours broke, the smallest things. And him? He hadn't noticed them at all. Just figured it was normal to be worried, a natural feeling that he didnt even separate out. But by time he realized just exactly what he was feeling, it was already too late. He was too deep now. Way too deep.

Enjins actions were persistent but never too much. Never making you feel weak or small. Despite all the things he did to make it just a bit easier, safer, he never fully took away that danger. He knew you were strong, independent, it was one of the things he grew fond of. Seeing you fight was so beautiful to him yet so worrying, but he knew you could take care of yourself, you didnt need him, or anyone else, to save you from the smallest things. And that was another thing you had noticed.

That night team Akuta had a long mission so when they got back they went out to eat. You were quietly eating and talking with everyone when Enjin moved beside you. It was normal. He usually sat beside you. But now he was being unusually quiet.

Enjins mind was a train wreck of emotions. He wanted some desperately to tell you. To tell you every single little thing he thought and felt about you.
