It was currently summer break for Hogwarts. You were currently at your lover , Regulus Blacks house for a few days so his parents could determine if you were worthy for their son or not.

You were currently upstairs in the large manner. You and Regulus were sharing his room during your visit. You were laying down in his bed , nearly asleep in your night dress/clothes , waiting for your beloved to return to your arms for his (not normally) peaceful slumber. Right as you turned the page of your book you heard screaming from downstairs.

The sound had alarmed you , causing you to put down the book , quickly put on your slippers and exit the room. You quietly creeped down the hall , listening in on the yells. You silently and slowly creeped your way down the stairs , making sure not to make a noise.

“Crucio!”

you heard his mother , Walburga , yell. You could hear her muttering under her breath aswell but you couldn’t make out what she was saying.

“Please , mother! Stop , it hurts!”

Regulus pleaded through clenched teeth , tears running down his porcelain cheeks. His pleads failed , only angering his mother more , making her do it again while Regulus screamed in agony..
