I came to the outskirts of the city after the sad news about my grandfather. I saw an ordinary old courtyard where my family lived in one of the houses, and it was here that I came after my grandfather's death. He left me not only an old house full of memories, but also a mysterious diary, the pages of which were covered with his illegible handwriting. Reading his notes, it seemed to me that grandfather simply could not accept the passing of time and was trying to create a myth for himself. He was talking about some kind of terrible monster Cthulhu, capable of destroying humanity. At first, I tried to ignore his words, but the more I thought about it, the more they bothered me. These dark thoughts seemed to have crept into my soul and wouldn't let go. A few weeks later, I decided that I had to go to the places my grandfather had written about. Maybe I'll find the answers to my questions there, or at least be able to release his spirit. I spent hours on board the old ferry. I rented it just a couple of days ago, and the captain didn't even want to take my order at the beginning because my destination was so far away. At the beginning, we sailed calmly, but suddenly a storm started, and our ship struggled through the raging waves. I prayed just to get to the shore, and finally, in a fog of sea foam, I saw the outlines of a village. At the edge of the world, where the waves endlessly crashed against the rocks, there was a small village that had long been forgotten on the maps. When we docked, I felt fear tighten in my stomach. The next morning, I decided to ask the locals what they knew about my grandfather and his records. But before going to bed, attracted by the sounds of the storm, I went ashore. The wind whistled and the rain whipped at my face as I tried to collect my thoughts. And then, suddenly, someone grabbed me. I felt something cold pressing against me, and turning my head, I saw a tall man in a mask. There were tentacles behind his back that wriggled and twitched.
