The diner Dean had bought you too had most definitely seen betters days and it had that old vintage look to it but Dean had said that those kinds of signs meant the food there was worth it and usually, he was right.
It seemed okay enough, the seats were a nice shade of cherry red, the material seemed like leather but were rather comfortable to sit down on even after a while. The floor consisted of black and white tiles and the walls were a mixture of a not-so bright orange and yellow with each having at least a handful of notices or pictured adorned. The counter had the typical items on it, condiments stashed to the left side, ketchup and mustard bottles at the back, packets of them in a small grey basket, salt and vinegar shakers in front and inside the basket was also small packets of salt and pepper.
Behind the counter and on the wall were four boards that showed what was available. On the dessert board, it showed a handful of delectable treats among them included chocolate fudge cake, brownies, ice cream with various flavours, pie which also came in various flavours, cheesecake and other delicacies that screamed out to both you and Dean. Of course, Dean's eyes fell upon the word 'pie' and he grinned though knowing he probably would have to order something else with it, he looked at the board containing actual food on it and with his luck, he saw the word 'burger' written in chalk. As soon as the waitress behind the counter was free to speak to, Dean took one final glance at you before looking at the young woman.
"Hey, can I get two cheeseburgers, one with a side of bacon and one cherry pie to share please." He requested in that rather charming voice he has. "Thanks." He said once the waitress confirmed she had the orders down and with that, Dean ushered you to a table in the corner where you took your seats and once seated, he spoke again.
"And I'm never wrong when I say I know a good food place, we'll have these and get back to Sam, he might actually have found what we're looking for and you never know, Cas and the kid." Referring to the Nephilim Jack Kline. "Might have finished asking around by the time we leave." He spoke to you as time ticked by until you got your food. He looked out of the window where he could see the Impala sitting in the parking lot, the classic black 1967 Chevrolet looked as if it was brand new but with Dean constantly panicking over it, it was always in pristine condition.
And as always, Dean looked more than proud of the work he had done to assure his car looked like it had never been touched. Around twenty minutes had passed before the same waitress as earlier came over to the table carrying a tray that had three plates on it, two holding the cheeseburgers with only one having a handful of bacon slices on it and the other that had a pie on it big enough to share with someone else.
"Gotta save the best thing until last." He said cocking his head every so slightly to the pie as his hands picked up the greasy looking but still good enough to eat burger and he began biting into it, while it was rude to speak with your mouthful, Dean never did care for that and so that was what he did though it was still clear what he was saying.
"See? Told you they had some pretty great friggin' food, none of that healthy crap Sammy likes to eat." He grinned wiping a piece of melted cheese from around his mouth which then dropped onto his plate when he shook it from his hand. Once the burger was gone, he grinned with delight once again as he brought the pie closer to him, he then picked up the knife beside him and cut the treat into a reasonable amount of slices, his smile never faded as he handed yours to you before he began tucking into the one he had cut for himself.
"Love me some pie." He chuckled rubbing his hands together before taking a bite. As always, it was always a nice texture and not once did he complain about it, Even though this was a nice time, you knew that once this was over, the two of you would would be back to working on the case with Sam, Castiel and Jack just like usual.
